After the months-long saga of whether former Seattle Seahawk running back Marshawn Lynch will return to the NFL, it seems his return will become official rather soon.
The news came out yesterday that Lynch will be traded to the Oakland Raiders, once he signs a short-term contract with heavy incentives, per ESPN’s Ed Werder.
Source says #Raiders working on short-term deal with heavy incentives with Marshawn Lynch in advance of reinstatement, then trade/release

This is great news for Oakland. They are able to bring in the Oakland native for a cheap and incentive laden contract.
With general manager Reggie McKenzie expected to get a bargain contract, he will have filled a major need for a power running back. The deal will also make the city of Oakland excited about the upcoming season after the team won their relocation vote to move to Las Vegas a few weeks ago.
Expect Lynch to formally sign with The #Raiders today at some point.
