The Oakland Raiders seem to be enjoying their offseason before the real grind begins at mandatory minicamp and training camp.

ESPN’s Sam Alipour caught up with a group of Raiders to play a friendly game of basketball and to ask a few questions about playing in front of East Bay fans and about the Golden State Warriors.

The game of hoops had its own interesting twist as well. It wasn’t perfectly friendly, for there was a wager on the line.

If Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper’s team won, the opposing team had to read a full book from Cooper’s book club in just one week and comment on the book club’s blog.

If Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree’s team won, the opposing team had to dress head to toe in Crabtree’s clothing line every day for a week.

It is good to see Oakland’s players hanging out and having a good time. Chemistry is invaluable for Super Bowl contenders and can often bring a team over the hump.

Hopefully, it can bring the Raiders from an early playoff exit to a deep playoff run in 2017.
