Offensive Line (9)
Tackle: Donald Penn, David Sharpe, Jylan Ware, Marshall Newhouse
Guard: Gabe Jackson, Kelechi Osemele, Vadal Alexander
Center: Rodney Hudson, Jon Feliciano
Notable cuts: Austin Howard
Raiders right tackle Austin Howard presents a $6.4 million salary cap hit this season, but a pre-June 1 cut would save the team $5 million over the next two years per Over the Cap.
That fact may make Howard a cap casualty before too long, but his play should keep him off of the roster.
The Raiders’ four main starters, guard Gabe Jackson, left tackle Donald Penn, guard Kelechi Osemele and center Rodney Hudson will all easily make the team, but right tackle should be up for grabs this offseason given the reality of Howard’s situation.
It is possible that Raiders rookie tackle David Sharpe could come in and start Day 1, however, Marshall Newhouse is likely the safer bet here.
Meanwhile, Vadal Alexander is a nice swing tackle and can play guard for Oakland, providing nice versatility and run-blocking strength on the offensive line.
Finally, expect for Raiders rookie tackle Jaylen Ware to make the team as a long-term project, and Jon Feliciano to be back in order to provide depth behind Hudson.
