Safety (5): Reggie Nelson, Karl Joseph, Obi Melifonwu, Shalom Luani, Keith McGill
Melifonwu might not be considered a starter Day 1, but he will get starter reps playing wherever the Raiders need him whether that is safety, corner or linebacker.
Joseph should make a giant leap in his second season at safety, for he is a big hitter with great instincts and ball skills.
With a lack of depth in the secondary, Oakland needs all the familiarity and young talent they can get. Raiders safety McGill has been with the team for a few years and has shown some potential at safety.
Luani was a draft pick this year and will probably not be cut unless he mightily struggles to transition to the NFL.
