The Oakland Raiders have a special duo, in Raiders quarterback Derek Carr and defensive end Khalil Mack, that make other NFL franchises jealous.
A major reason for the two’s success since they came into the league in 2014 is their yearn to compete.
This offseason we have seen Carr challenge Mack to a sprint and, now, Carr has beaten Mack in what seems to be a go-cart race.
This isn’t the race Raider Nation wanted to see, but the competitive spirit is what makes these guys special as they are battling over a somewhat meaningless race.
Overall, that competitive fire only manifests itself on the field to help Carr and Mack make clutch plays late in games like they did so many times in 2016.
