Oakland Raiders linebacker Jelani Jenkins has just announced his new foundation, the Jelani Jenkins Foundation, which is now in partnership with the Players Philanthropy Fund, per PPF’s website.
Jenkin’s mission “is to support youth development through education, athletics and wellness activities that encourage students to reach their full potential both in the classroom and in life.”
He hopes to accomplish this by having food giveaways, supporting disadvantaged youth, and by opening The Ultimate Football Camp which will begin in 2017 and be free to all participants.
If interested, one can register for his camp and follow his NFL journey by visiting Jenkins’ official website.
Anyways, it is incredible to see what the players and coaches in the Raiders’ organization have been able to accomplish in the Bay Area. There has been an incredible outreach to the kids in the community, especially by Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch, defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr., and now Jenkins.
From all of us at the Raiders Wire, we wish Jenkins and the rest of the Oakland players luck in their community endeavors.
