Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr became the highest paid player in NFL history when he signed his five-year $125 million extension.

However, Carr told Dan Patrick on the Dan Patrick Show that he is “nowhere near what [the best quarterbacks] have done.”

Given Carr has only played three seasons in the NFL, he is correct. He hasn’t had the time to build accolades that include Super Bowl victories, even playoff wins, All-Pro selections, and/or MVPs. But he almost assuredly will.
