In the weekend match, Tim Anderson scored three run-homer which in turn led his team to victory.

The Chicago White Sox beat New York Yankees by 5-0 for a doubleheader sweep.

The MLB posted on their Instagram page Tim Anderson’s video in which he was seen silencing the fans who were continuously booing and chanting “Jackie” at him by putting a finger on his lips.

Tim Anderson was heard saying “Tell them to shut the f**k up” while he was joyfully cheering up his team members during the match.

On Saturday New York Yankees Tim Anderson accused Chicago White Sox Josh Donaldson of making a racist remark about him by calling him “Jackie Robinson”.

Tim Anderson did not play in the first match on Sunday, still before each pregame introduction and before the at-bat in the second match.

Chicago White Sox player Michael Kopech who returned from paternity leave after witnessing the birth of his second child told that he heard the fans continuously chanting “Jackie” at Tim Anderson.

Anderson hit two singles at the start of his innings and later on ending the five-run innings he homered over the right-field wall where he scored two outs.

As he rounded along with the bases he took a slow trot and put a finger on his lips making the shushing gesture to the fans who were chanting “Jackie” pointing toward him. He later pointed toward the sky and made the silence motion again and also clapped several times.

New York Yankee player Michael Kopech said,  “I think that was just one of the cooler things I’ve seen watching an entire crowd that’s shown low class towards him, booing him, calling him ‘Jackie’ and then hitting a homer and putting us in a good position to win.”

He, later on, said that, “Have nothing but respect for him.” Anderson refused to speak to the reporters before or after the doubleheader.

Manager of Chicago White Sox, Tony La Russa “When you talk about how special he is, just think about the game he had under those circumstances,” La Russa also said, “It’s special.”

On Sunday Josh Donaldson Acknowledged the incident saying that calling Anderson “Jackie” was part of an inside joke between him and Anderson. While calling him “Jackie” he was referring to the legendary baseball star, Jackie Robinson.

Anderson once said,” I feel like today’s Jackie Robinson”.

The MLB is now investigating the whole incident while Josh Donaldson is suspended for one match along with an undisclosed amount of fine on him.
